Britney Spears booked herself in at an L.A. jail last night on mcharges of hit and run.
In September, Brit was charged with one count of hit and run causing property damage and one count of driving without a valid California license.
The charges stem from an incident on August 6 when the unlicensed pop wreck rammed a parked car in full view of paparazzi – and then drove off.
The LAPD confirm to TMZ: "at approximately 9:25 PM Miss Britney Spears checked into the Van Nuys County Jail for a court ordered booking.

"She was put through standard booking procedures which included booking photographs, fingerprinting and collection of information.
“Britney was at all time cooperative in the process. She was there approximately 45 minutes."
The attention-seeking singer was reportedly offered the use of the back door to enter the jail but opted to walk in the front entrance – how else are the paps gonna take her picture?
Both misdemeanor charges carry a maximum of 6 months in jail.
Brit was obviously taking the whole thing seriously – she even removed the bright pink wig she’d been wearing for her pap drive-by antics earlier in the day.
